Flambert PSL!

It had been a week since everything had happened with Shroud. Visi - Courtney- was still in the hospital, but thanks to bringing Sonar back Z-team wasn't short handed even if the mess from Shroud's work seemed never ending. Depending on how today went, they might also have another part time addition to their rosterā¦
"Alright, morning heroes, we're doing something a little different today," Robert said after logging on and waiting for a few moments to hear the chatter through his headset at the start of the shift. "First shift is going to run like normal, but for second shift Mandy is going to take over as primary dispatcher and I'm going to be out in the field with you. Royd is integrating some of the dispatch software into the Mecha Man HUD but we haven't field tested it yet, so if we get a slow spot a couple of you are going to be pulled in to give it a go. And we're doing this on a Friday so if it goes badly we have two days where none of us have to look at each other. Any questions?"

Chad could not help but feel a little strange. Sure, most of his life was strange, given the whole fire controlling former villain of it all, but now-- it was different than what he had expected. Not that he had ever expeted signing up for the Phoenix program would lead to taking down an actual big bad. He was still getting used to the "hero" of it all. He was a hero now, whether he liked it or no. And for the most part, he didn't like it.
He felt twitchy, irritated, ready to spark up and tell someone to shut the hell up. But he was learning to control his impulses, and so he crossed his arms over his chest and listened to Robert as he blah blah blah'd over the headset.
"My only question is are you trying to bore us to death?" He faked a yawn, just to drive the point home. "I'm ready to get started."

Prism and Punch-up both quickly joined in on the ragging on Robert over the comms, the others joining in on the (now) (mostly) good natured teasing as well. Sonar seemed to hold off though, and Robert took note to keep an eye on him to make sure he wasn't walking on eggshells.
Not that he didn't mind the breather from almost a whole team worth. He found himself mentally replaying Flambae's words, trying to pick apart the tone. Just taking the piss or was there an edge there? Was Robert overreacting?
"Jesus, fucking chill," he mumbled to himself, too softly for his headset to pick up as he made sure everyone was set for online. Three calls came in almost immediately, the usual range of rich asshole using it as their personal task rabbit service and genuine calls for help. As he sent Sonar on the low difficulty task to ease him back in (and hey Sonar liked those rich assholes), and Waterboy out to put out a reported fire in an abandoned building.
"Alright, alright - message received. Looks like it's going to be a busy day. Time to put your money where your mouth is, Flambae."
Him Robert sent out to handle the report of commotion at steel mill that was still shut down for reconstruction after Shroud's attempted city takeover - at least two calls had come in reporting it, and one said the people looked like Red Ring.
